Meet Peanut!

Sugar Glider

The Sugar Glider is a small gliding possum native to eastern and northern mainland Australia, New Guinea, and the Bismarck Archipelago, and introduced to Tasmania. - Wikipedia

You can watch videos of these little guys on YouTube, and see more photos of him on our Flickr account. Let us know what you think!

A Smart Solution?

Natural Area (in progress)

We’re allowing the hilly section of our yard to grow-in to become a "natural area." It's hard to mow so by letting it thicken and over time adding large landscape rocks and patches of wildflowers it will eventually establish the look we are going for. Then it will look purposeful - and not like we're too lazy to mow that part of the lawn. Smart, huh?

Also notice all if the leaves? It’s only mid August and our yard has more leaves now than in the fall. There’s a huge tree on the property behind us that starts to loose it’s foliage in late summer, so we have to mow it weekly just to mulch the dry leaves.

From Humana's 25 Floor

After a marketing meeting today on the 25th floor I decided to take in the million dollar view from atop the Humana Tower. This shot is looking east and features Water Front Plaza (with the red roofs), bridges to the left spanning the Ohio River, and Main Street – as far as the eye can see. Taken with my iPhone (yes, I’m a tool).

Kentucky State Fair

Six Flags Over Kentucky

We went to the fair yesterday and it was the nicest weather that I can ever remember. I would not be surprised if it was a record turn out – there were people everywhere.

Favorite things about the fair
- People watching
- Food, food, food!
- Exhibits (photography, cakes, and produce)
- Animals (cows, goats, chickens and other fowl)
- Live music
- Did I mention people watching (it's the best!)

My mom won a giant stuffed bear playing against 15 other suckers on the game where you shoot the little disc with the water gun. We ate fish sandwiches, spiral cheese potatoes, carmel apples, fudge, and ice-cream. I know I gained 5 lbs, but I’ll work it off tomorrow at the gym.
